Cheap Baby Clothes Buyers Guide

Baby clothes shopping can be a daunting experience. There is such a huge variety to choose from, whilst prices vary greatly. You need to consider whether the clothes are for every day use or special occasions, as well as the fact that babies grow at an alarming rate. Clothes worn by your newborn baby will be finished with in a matter of weeks, not months. It is therefore not advisable to buy vast quantities at this stage. You will probably have a limited budget, so it’s a good idea to source good quality, cheap baby clothes.

Let’s look at each specific age range.

Newborn to three months
Your first consideration should be towards safety. Newborn baby clothes should be checked for loose buttons, snaps or fixings that could potentially cause a choking hazard. Outfits with Velcro or other fixings at the back are generally a good choice.

Three months to six months
Very similar to 0-3 months, make sure the clothes are comfortable, with no loose fittings. Remember, at this age babies like to learn about things by putting them in their mouth, so steer clear of any potential choking hazards. Cheap baby clothes are great now as you will be buying clothes at a fast pace.

Six to nine months
This is where you start to get a lot more choice. It is a bit easier buying clothes which are slightly larger, allowing your baby to grow into them. It won’t take that long, trust me! Cheap baby clothes are best now, as why spend a fortune, only to have them outgrown in a month.

Nine to twelve months
At this age your baby will be far more active. It is often at this stage that first steps are taken. This means more wearing on the knees and bottom area after all the little tumbles. Their clothes can still be cute, but should be a bit more durable. Which is why it’s best to buy cheap baby clothes!

It may seem like an arduous task buying cheap baby clothes, but trust me, it’s a lot of fun!
